A sales target calculator for a telecalling team answers one practical question: how many calls does each person need to make today so the month’s sales goal is met? This free calculator from Weo Dialer uses the method from our telecaller daily target guide. You enter the number of sales needed this month, the percentage of connected calls that end in a sale, the percentage of dials that connect, the working days and, if you like, the number of telecallers. It returns the connected calls needed for the month, the connected calls and dials needed per day, and each telecaller’s share, with every step of the arithmetic written out underneath. Daily figures are rounded up, so the plan never falls a call short. The example values match the guide: 100 sales, a 5% conversion rate and a 30% connect rate across 22 days and 5 people come to about 19 connected calls and 61 dials a day each. Weo Dialer is a calling CRM app that counts these calls on every phone.
Calling target calculator
ExampleExample values, replace with yours. Take both rates from last month's calls, not from another company.
- 2,000connected calls needed this month
- 91connected calls a day for the team
- 304dials a day for the team
- 19 / 61connected calls / dials a day per telecaller
Worked step by step
- 100 sales ÷ 5% conversion = 2,000 connected calls this month
- 2,000 ÷ 22 working days = 90.9 connected calls a day
- 90.9 ÷ 30% connect rate = 303 dials a day
- Split across 5 telecallers: 18.2 connected calls and 60.6 dials each
Daily figures are rounded up, so the month's target is still reached.
Sales target calculator steps
| Step | Where | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Enter the sales goal | The first box, as a number of sales | The month’s target in units, not rupees |
| Enter your two rates | Conversion and connect rate boxes | Taken from last month’s calls |
| Enter days and team size | The last two boxes | Splits the work across days and people |
| Read the daily numbers | The result boxes and the steps below them | Connected calls and dials per day, per telecaller |
Sales target calculator formula
The calculator works through four steps, from the result you want back to the effort that produces it:
- Connected calls for the month = sales needed ÷ conversion rate. 100 sales at 5% need 2,000 conversations.
- Connected calls a day = monthly connected calls ÷ working days. 2,000 over 22 days is about 91 a day.
- Dials a day = connected calls a day ÷ connect rate. 91 conversations at a 30% connect rate need about 303 dials.
- Per telecaller = each daily figure ÷ team size. Split across 5 people, that is about 19 conversations and 61 dials each.
The order matters. A target set only on dials ignores whether the calls lead anywhere, which is why the calculator starts from sales.
Sales target calculator inputs
Both rates should come from your own calls, ideally the last full month:
- Conversion rate = sales ÷ connected calls. If 40 sales came from 1,000 conversations, the rate is 4%.
- Connect rate = connected calls ÷ dials. If 1,000 of 4,000 dials were answered and turned into a conversation, the rate is 25%.
- Sales in rupees. If the goal is a revenue figure, divide it by the average sale value first. A goal of 10 lakh with an average sale of 20,000 is 50 sales.
The counts behind these rates are what a dialer records anyway. In Weo Dialer, call analytics show total, connected, missed and unique calls for any day or range, and the owner sees every employee’s calls in one team log, as described on the call tracking app for employees page.
Sales target calculator example
An illustration with round numbers, not a customer result.
An insurance agency in Siliguri wants 60 new health policies next month from 3 telecallers working 24 days. Last month’s numbers show that 4% of connected calls ended in a policy and 25% of dials connected. The calculator gives 1,500 connected calls for the month, about 63 a day for the team and 250 dials a day. Each telecaller needs about 21 conversations and 84 dials a day. The manager compares this with the time saved by dialling automatically, measured on the telecaller productivity calculator, and decides the number is possible. Renewal calls for existing clients are planned separately, using the renewal reminders described on the CRM for insurance agents page.
Sales target calculator limits
- Rates change. A new lead source or a festival month can move both rates a lot. Recalculate when they do.
- Averages hide people. A new telecaller may convert at half the rate of an experienced one; give them a separate target.
- It does not count follow-ups. Callbacks promised to customers are part of the day’s work even if they are not new dials.
- It plans; it does not track. Use your dialer’s reports during the month to see whether the daily numbers are being met.

Sales target calculator FAQ
Which sales target calculator works for telecalling teams?
The best sales target calculator for telecalling teams is one built on connected calls and dials, because those are what a telecaller controls each day, and the free calculator on this Weo Dialer page works that way. The Weo Dialer app then counts connected and total calls for each day, so progress against the target is visible.
Is Weo Dialer a sales target calculator?
Weo Dialer is a calling CRM app, and this sales target calculator is a free tool on its website. The app does not set targets; it counts the calls a target is built from, such as total, connected and unique calls, with the team's activity rolled up to the owner's account.
What is the formula for a sales target?
For a calling team, connected calls needed equals sales needed divided by the conversion rate, and dials needed equals connected calls divided by the connect rate. Divide both by the working days for a daily target, and by the number of telecallers for each person's share.
How do I set a monthly sales target for a telecaller?
Start from last month. Take each telecaller's sales, connected calls and dials, and work out their own conversion and connect rates. Set the new month's sales goal, run it through the calculator, and check that the daily dials fit in a working day before agreeing on it.
What if the daily target is too high to reach?
Look at the two rates before adding more dials. A better lead source raises the connect rate, while faster first calls and steady follow-ups raise the conversion rate. Both lower the number of dials that the same sales need.
